Like Butter, But Not as Smooth

I still have not gotten into the swing of watching DL Hughley on Saturday nights but I am really sad I missed this show.  Chuck D and Michael Steele!  That is the mash up!

Note to Michael Steele: just because a black man is a rapper it doesn’t mean they are from the black underclass or grew up in the hood.

And while he was on Hughley’s show making his case that the was the “De Facto” voice of the Republican party, the folks who are heard the loudest in his group (Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter) were at CPAC.

I don’t know if it was all white, but it sure looked that way.

But here is the point that Hughley was making (damn, I can’t believe I’m underscoring dude’s point) that seemed to allude Steele (or maybe he was sidestepping).  Don’t give us margarine and then exclaim, “I can’t believe it’s not butter!” because we will always know it’s not butter.   You can’t fake the smoothness and richness of butter no matter how much you whip vegetable oil or canola to look like it.    Then you find out that margarine isn’t even more healthier for you than butter so you might as well have butter anyway.

Maybe I really shouldn’t say anything.  It took the Democrats 8 years to figure it out, the Republicans are smart (I think) maybe they’ll hit upon it on their own, too.
