AfAm Singer on Korean Talent Show

with 3 comments

African American singer Natalie White (aka Puma Shock) made her debut on the Korean talent show, Star King in early March 2009.

White came to the attention of the show when her YouTube videos of her singing remixed R&B versions of K-Pop hits from artists like Girl Generation and May Doni began to get a lot of hits in Korea.   She’s a big fan of the music and Korean dramas as well.

  1. This is what I am talking about. Sistahs doing their thing wherever they find it. I say go girl! Natalie is living her dream. And they are having some fun on this video. She wowed them. Another You Tube sensation. I’ll support her.

  2. Hey Lorraine!

Unfortunately, Natalie had to check people on her YouTube page. Some folks seemed to question her blackness because of her love for K-Pop and Korean dramas. But she is a great singer and hopefully the more she sings she can a record deal and airplay over here.
